Assistant Finance Manager

iMoney is currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to continue to drive the financial growth of Southeast Asia’s leading fintech marketplace.
This role will be responsible in all aspects of Finance involving budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and providing financial analysis support to the management. This role requires a person with sufficient experience in the financial sector, great interpersonal skills, and excellent problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Finance oversight for both MY and PH operations.
- Monthly Financial and Management Reporting which serves as choice points for management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities.
- Develop and implement strategies and best practices which support optimization of finance and business processes.
- Ensure accuracy of financial information by performing a variety of control functions.
- Supervise and review daily, monthly journal entries and ensure entries are recorded timely and accurately.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as invoicing, payments and other transactions.
- Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
- Liaise with all stakeholders for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
- Ensure the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
- Monitor monthly, year-end closing and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly Financial and Management Reporting.
- Manage the cash flow and supervise financial transactions within the company to ensure there are no discrepancies in reports.
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
- Ensure effective internal control procedures and compliance of accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures.
- Supervise and oversee the tasks of Junior Accountant.
- Ensures the organizational financial stability including evaluating and managing risk.
- Handles all legal requirements with coordination to Corporate Secretary of the company.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Professional qualification from any recognized bodies (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW etc) is an added advantage but not compulsory.
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in the relevant position and industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and flexible with good attitude.
- Attentive to detail, analytical and a critical thinker.
