LATEST: 1,315 medicines added to GST-free list

                                  

An additional 1,315 types of medicines have been included in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) zero-rated supplies list.

The initial list had only 2,900 types of medicines. With the new additions, the list now have a total of 4,215 medicines.

The additional zero-rated medicines were recently approved following concerns raised by relevant authorities, Customs GST Division senior assistant director II Norazura Hashim told reporters at a special health and GST briefing sessions at Putrajaya this week.
