Touch n Go e-Wallet Use Expanded To LKSA And SMART Tunnel
Touch n Go has expanded its card/e-wallet link feature to include two new locations.
Those who have linked their Touch n Go cards to their e-wallets can now use the pay-direct feature on the Lebuhraya Kemunting-Shah Alam (LKSA) and Smart Tunnel. The feature was originally introduced in December for the Duta Ulu-Kelang Expressway (DUKE) and DUKE2.
In effect, the feature allows a physical TNG card to draw credits from the e-wallet. Payments are still made using the card at the TNG terminal at toll booths. However, the toll itself will be deducted from the e-wallet’s fund first. It will only attempt to deduct funds from the TNG card itself if there are insufficient funds in the e-wallet.
TNG is slowly expanding the use of its pay-direct feature. This was supposed to have happened when the e-wallet was originally launched, but regulatory problems prevented it from being implemented on time.
