GrabFin Collaborates With Mitra Kembara To Offer Umrah Financing For Grab Drivers
GrabFin Malaysia and Mitra Kembara have officially signed a memorandum of understanding to offer Umrah Financing in aiding Muslim Grab driver-partners to fulfil their Umrah pilgrimage.
The custom travel package that Mitra Kembara is offering for grab drive-partners is a 12D10N package. It includes accommodations, full board meals, economy flight tickets via Saudia Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Malaysia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Air Arabia, SalamAir or Air Asia and Visa Umrah.
In addition to this, package recipients will also be given a special gift from Mitra Kembara consisting of items such as a luggage set with luggage tags, a guidebook to prepare them for Umrah, lanyard and a Saudi sim card to prepare them for their sacred journey.
Present at the MOU was Mitra Kembara’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Fazil Khan Bin Abdul Kadir. He stated that this strategic partnership perfectly aligns with their mission to provide affordable travel packages to the Holy Land for pilgrims.
“We have taken great efforts to customise a variety of packages that cater to various needs of all Muslims, while ensuring comfort and religious obligations are not compromised, with cost never being a deterrent. We believe that every Muslim, regardless social status and income should be able to fulfil their Haj and Umrah pilgrimage. Therefore, we are humble to partner with Grab Malaysia to be able to offer this service to their driver partners with an affordable and fuss free package to fulfil their religious pilgrimage,” said Dr. Fazil at the MOU signing.
The introduction of the Umrah Financing initiative comes after the recently organised Cabaran Ramadan-Umrah Grab, which saw Grab Malaysia offering its users and community of driver- and delivery partners a chance to win a fully sponsored Umrah travel package.
“The response was overwhelming as we saw almost 539,000 of our users, and driver- and delivery-partners participating in the cabaran. This partnership is significant to us as it furthers Grab’s collaborative efforts with like-minded partners to firstly, democratise financing solutions so that our driver- and delivery-partners can continue earning, while addressing their larger financial needs,” said Henry Ho, Head of GrabFin Malaysia (Financing).
