Aeon Launching Malaysia’s First Ever Digital Islamic Bank

AEON has announced the coming launch of, AEON Bank, Malaysia’s first ever digital Islamic bank on 26 May.

This marks AEON’s first foray into the banking industry, and will also make history as the first Islamic digital bank in Malaysia.

Part of AEON’s identity has always been their drive for financial inclusion, which means serving the subset of people who has always been underserved by traditional banks. AEON Bank will be no different with seamlessly integration of services within the broader AEON Ecosystem.

According to a press release from their media centre, AEON Bank has already prepared for a phased rollout of their app, with more features introduced in each phase.

The rollout will start with an exclusive beta testing phase with the AEON Group of employees.
