Civil Servants To Receive Year End Bonus

Selangor has announced bonuses for its civil service employees. The bonuses are to recognise the contributions of the state’s civil servants towards Selangor’s development.
The bonus is in the form of a Special Financial Assistance (BKK) of two months’ salary. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari made the announcement during the tabling of the Selangor state Budget 2025.
Selangor civil servants to get 2 months’ bonus
The 2 months’ bonus will be paid in two phases. The first portion will be paid on December 30. The second payment will be made on March 25, 2025, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
“It’s my pleasure to announce that the BKK for this year will be an additional of two months to all Selangor civil servants,” Amirudin said during the tabling of the 2025 Selangor Budget at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly on 15 November 2025.
He added that Selangor was also the first state in Malaysia to achieve over RM400 billion worth of economic activity last year.
Sabah to give 1 month bonus to civil servants
Meanwhile, the Sabah government has also announced a one month’s salary bonus. Sabah Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun announced this payout during the tabling of the state’s 2025 Budget.
The bonus is in the form of special assistance worth one month’s salary, or a minimum of RM3,000. The bonus that will benefit all Sabah state public civil servants is to be disbursed in January 2025.
Datuk Seri Masidi also added that the assistance, with a financial implication of RM68.48 million, would benefit 18,949 civil service employees.
