LHDN To Introduce e-PCB Plus For Monthly Tax Deductions
The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has just released a statement announcing the new monthly tax deduction (PCB) service system, e-PCB Plus. LHDN introduced the new system in September 2024 to replace the existing e-PCB, e-Data PCB and eCP39 under one platform through the MyTax portal.
The recent LHDN statement reminded all employers to complete all submissions they need to do on the existing PCB system by January 15, 2025.
Employers must use e-PCB Plus after January 15
LHDN recommends that employers currently using the e-PCB, e-Data PCB and e-CP39 systems and have not yet registered in the e-PCB Plus system do so immediately.
After the January 15 deadline, employers who need to carry out other transactions like charging, calculation and PCB payment must do so on the new platform.
Existing e-PCB platform will only be open references purposes
After January 15, the existing e-PCB platform will be opened only for reference purposes to enable employers to check earlier information and PCB records. Other functions and features will be fully closed.
The LHDN is recommending employers to register in the e-PCB Plus system to ensure a smooth transition. They also said it would announce when PCB Plus would be fully implemented before it officially opened to employers and consumers.
