Batik Air now flies to 5 destinations in Japan

Batik Air/Lion Air Group, Group Strategy Director Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy has reiterated Batik Air’s commitment to the Japanese market. This is proven by the opening of its fifth route to Japan within a single year.

“Okinawa’s legendary tourism potential is well known globally and we are pleased to offer connectivity via our KLIA hub as well as our transit point of Taipei. Okinawa experiences a subtropical climate with long summers and mild winters and a year-round average temperature of 23 degrees Celsius which is excellent for outdoor activities. Sakura season is in January and February which is another of the many added attractions,” he said in a statement.

This new service also offers travellers from Okinawa to visit beautiful Malaysia.  Travellers can enjoy seamless connectivity to exciting destinations in our Lion Air Group’s fast-expanding network in ASEAN, Indian Subcontinent, Australia & New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia, via the Kuala Lumpur International Airport hub,” he added.

Famously known as the “Hawaii of Japan”, Okinawa comprises over 160 islands in the East China Sea. Each island chain is unique and sports a subtropical climate and a rich cultural past.

Unlike the constant hustle and bustle of Japan’s mainland cities, the island of Okinawa offers leisure travellers a more laid-back Japanese experience. With this new route, Batik Air passengers have the opportunity to explore a wide range of offerings and will have little difficulty finding something new and unique for them to experience.
