LHDN Announces Official Launch Of MyInvois Portal
It’s official. The first phase of Malaysia’s e-invoicing implementation has kicked off starting August 1.
Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying officiated the launch of the portal yesterday together with LHDN chief executive officer Datuk Dr Abu Tariq Jamaluddin.
As of 1 August 2024, over RM100 million worth of transactions have been recorded. The number of e-invoices received have also exceeded 520,000, according to LHDN.
First e-invoice phase involving 5,000 companies
Phase 1 which has started on August 1 involves companies with revenue or sales exceeding RM100 million.
There are 5,000 companies with this recorded revenue participating in this phase. According to LHDN, some companies have reported problems in accessing MyInvois. They have been advised to log out and log in again.
Second phase to start in January 2025
The second round will require companies with annual revenue or sales between RM25 million and RM100 million.
LHDN stated that the portal provides two main e-invoicing mechanism. One way is to send e-invoices using the MyInvois portal or to go through the application programming interface.

Earlier this week, LHDN has also announced a 6-month grace period for companies involved in phase 1 of the implementation.
