You Can Now Get Starlink From RM2,300 At Harvey Norman
Harvey Norman is now offering Starlink kits starting from RM2,300. The retailer has recently announced that they are the first official retailer for Starlink in Malaysia. Harvey Norman will be working closely with Vstecs Bhd who recently became a Starlink authorised distributor to offer the Starlink kit on sale.
To be more specific, Harvey Norman will be offering customers the standard Starlink kit, which costs around RM2,300. Customers purchasing Starlink through Harvey Norman can also opt for interest-free monthly instalment options that are also available via Grab PayLater, LatitudePay, HSBC, Maybank and CIMB Bank. Starlink themselves do not offer an instalment plan.
The standard kit is described as being designed for self-install and arrives with everything you need to get online within minutes. The kit itself comes with the Starlink dish, along with the base, a router, a power cable and a Starlink cable.
Pre-orders are already being made available for Harvey Norman customers, with full availability going live from 6 February onwards.
One big advantage of purchasing Starlink via Harvey Norman is the retailer’s “Shop With Confidence” offering. This policy allows customers to return the product if they find a defect within the first 10 days. Starlink themselves allows customers to return the product altogether within 30 days if you are not happy with it. Starlink also charges RM100 for delivery and handling, while Harvey Norman offers a free pick up option in stores from your local Harvey Norman.
It should be noted that the standard kit does not come with a Starlink subscription included. This means you will be paying an additional fee on top of the RM2,300 to get your internet running. Currently, the Standard Starlink service plan is priced at RM220 per month. There is also a Mobile Starlink plan for those who want to use Starlink on the go, but that starts at RM700 a month for the regional plan and RM940 per month for the global plan.
Starlink, SpaceX’s premier low latency, high-speed broadband internet service has been available in Malaysia since the middle of 2023.
