Six More Names Added To Investor Alert List

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has updated its Investor Alert List this week. This list contains the names of unauthorised websites, investment products, companies and individuals. This serves as a cautionary warning to Malaysians regarding the trustworthiness of certain companies and investment opportunities.

Please take note that this list is not exhaustive and only serves as a guide to investors prior to making any investment decisions.

The following people/entities were added to the list as at 29 August 2023:

(AAA) Labur Saham Syariah
Team Sahabat Invest
Silver Aspire 248

Some of the suspicious activities that these listed entities are committing include:

Persons carrying on or holding themselves out as carrying on the following regulated activities without a licence from the SC:
- dealing in securities
- dealing in derivatives
- fund management
- advising on corporate finance
- investment advice
- financial planning, and
- dealing in private retirement schemes
Persons operating a recognised market without authorisation
Persons issuing or offering securities without approval, authorisation or recognition
Persons misusing the SC’s logo and misrepresenting the SC
