LHDN Has New Receipt Format For Manual Tax Payments
The Inland Revenue Board (IRB/LHDN) has just recently introduced a new format for receipts for proof of tax payments made manually at the Kuala Lumpur Revenue Management Centre (PPTHKL) counters.
According to the IRB, the new receipt format was introduced as a result of an amendment to the Treasury Circular (PP) PS 4.1: Guidelines for Government Financial Form Application, which was approved by the Ministry of Finance in October 2024.
New receipt format for certain manual tax payments
“In line with the mandatory use of e-Services for services provided online by the IRB from 1 Jan 2024, the types of manual tax payments accepted at the PPTHKL will now be limited,” it said in a recent statement.
Types of manual tax payments accepted:
- Compound payments
- Income tax payments made using debit and credit cards issued in Malaysia
“The PPTHKL will issue original official receipts and copies in the new format to taxpayers for both types of payments,” the statement added.
Other types of receipts can be obtained via MyTax portal
For payments not listed above, users can go to the MyTax portal. Select ezHasil Services, followed by ByrHASIL to get copies of other official tax receipts.
You can also obtain copies of tax receipts at the following places:
