Maybank Launches Co-Branded Platinum Card With Shopee

Maybank has officially launched its first-ever e-commerce co-branded credit card with the Maybank Shopee Credit Card. Powered by Visa, the credit card aims to be the ultimate lifestyle and e-commerce Platinum card for Malaysians.
During the live stream launch, Dato’ John Chong, Maybank’s group CEO of community financial services, highlights the timely release of the credit card to accommodate customers’ increasing shift towards online shopping.
With benefits that are uniquely tailored to the Shopee and Maybank experiences, customers can expect plenty of rewards such as 5x Shopee Coins for purchases on Shopee, and Maybank TreatPoints rewards for earnings more than 5,000 Shopee coins.
Application for the card starts on July 1 and successful applicants will receive a welcome offer of 5,000 Shopee Coins if they spend RM300 within 60 days. And, as part of the 7.7 Mid Year Sale campaign by Shopee, those who sign up for the card by July 7 will also receive Shopee vouchers worth RM500 when they spend RM300 within 45 days (on a first-come, first-served basis).
Who is eligible for the Maybank Shopee Credit Card?
- Malaysians between the ages of 21 and 65
- Minimum annual income of RM36,000

- 5X Shopee Coins for purchases at Shopee on 28th of every month during selected campaigns
- 4X Shopee Coins for spending on dining, entertainment, and contactless transactions
- 1X Shopee Coins on all other spendings
- Lifetime annual fee waiver
