Maybank Announces New Online Payment Interface Starting 31 Mar

Maybank will soon be switching its payment gateway FPX to DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets (DOBW). This means that Maybank customers will likely notice a different login page interface when making online payments towards the end of the month.

Both payment services are operated by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet), with DOBW having been introduced by the provider to replace FPX.

According to an announcement made by Maybank, the main difference for Maybank customers will be the login page when making online payments. Under DOBW, the new layout will resemble the current Maybank2u login page.

Apart from the change in login page, Maybank has assured customers that the rest of the payment process will remain the same as before.

Maybank also cautions customers to be wary of potentially fake banking websites, adding that the real Maybank2u website will show users their security image and phrase before asking for a password.

Earlier this month, Maybank began requiring that all online transactions using its debit and credit cards be authorised by Secure2u in the MAE app.
