MRT3 Circle Line Plan Open For Public Inspection Until Dec 2

MRT Corp has announced that the plan for the MRT3 Circle Line is ready for public inspection.

The alignment map will be open for public inspection from September 2 to December 2. It will be displayed for public inspection at 35 locations in Klang Valley. There are eight MRT Info Kiosks and 27 MRT Info Trucks located in key sites.

What is MRT3 Circle Line?

It is a 51km rail line that runs in a circle. This circular line aims to connect the other existing public transport networks in the Klang Valley. The MRT3 Circle Line will be the crucial link to integrate MRT, LRT, KTM, and Monorail lines.

The current plan proposes 10 interchanges and connecting stations with the other existing public transport lines in Klang Valley.

The current plan currently shows:

  • 2 stations on the MRT Putrajaya Line
  • 2 stations on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line
  • 3 stations on the LRT Ampang Line
  • 2 stations on the MRT Kajang Line
  • 1 station on the KL Monorail line
  • 2 stations on KTM Komuter line
  • 1 city bus station on BRT Sunway Line

The plan shows 7 underground stations out of the 32 stops proposed.

Earlier reports had stated that the MRT3 project is scheduled to begin operations in 2028 subject to land acquisition processes with full project operations expected by 2030. This is because there are over 1,000 lots of private land that needs to be acquired for this project.
