Netflix Malaysia Price Hike With Immediate Effect

The changes take effect immediately.

This means your next monthly subscription fee will reflect the new price. Overall the price increase ranges from RM1.90 to RM7.90.

A quick check on the Netflix website will show the new subscription prices per month.

If you have the Basic Plan, the increase is only RM1.90, from RM28 to RM29.90. For the Standard Plan, the price hike amounts to RM4.90 for an increase from RM45 to RM49.90. As for the Premium Plan, the increase is RM7.90 more per month. The plan costs RM62.90 compared to RM55 before.

For Malaysians, the cheapest Netflix plan now starts at RM18.90 for the mobile version. However, this version does not support casting or mirroring from a mobile device.

The price hikes will also affect the price of packages with Netflix add-on options for Malaysians who are subscribing to other telcos and cable tv providers that include Netflix as part of the package.
