PTPTN Launches ‘Bulan Menabung Simpan SSPN’ For Tertiary Education Savings
PTPTN has launched their month-long annual saving campaign, ‘Bulan Menabung Simpan SSPN’ (BMS) with the goal of encouraging parents to start or continue their child’s tertiary education savings.
PTPTN’s BMS is launched in conjunction with World Savings Day which is observed on the 31st of October, and it brings with it a bunch of activities and educational programmes lined up for the whole month.
According to PTPTN’s chairman, Datuk Norliza Abdul Rahim, BMS is confident that they will be able to achieve their target of RM220 million in savings made throughout the programme.
She highlighted that the benchmark of the programme’s success since its launch in 2018 is measurable by the realisation of that target. Datuk Norliza said that this is achievable with the support of strategic partners in her keynote address at the BMS 2023 launch on Sunday.
Some of the programmes in BMS 2023 include a nationwide tour across all 14 states, PTPTN e-sports challenges, meet-and-greet sessions with BMS ambassadors and many more.
The nationwide tour will kick off in Selangor for the programme’s first week, before moving to the Borneo Zone for its second week, then to the East Zone in the third week, and finally concluding the programme in Kuala Lumpur.
BMS is also introducing the BMS Hints Challenge, a contest where people can watch the live recording of the BMS programme to catch hidden hints. If a contestant manages to submit all the hints in all of the live recordings of BMS’ programme, they stand a chance to win RM3000.
BMS is also bringing back the BMS lucky draw, which carries with it a total of RM75,000 in cash prizes up for grabs.
As of the 31st of August 2023, the amount of Simpan SSPN deposits reached RM15.81 billion from under 6 million accounts.
