Report Traders Who Raise Prices Abruptly After GST
Ministry of Domestic Trade Cooperative and Consumerism (MDTCC) Minister Datuk Seri Hassan Malek urged the public to lodge complaints against traders who suddenly increase prices following the implementation of GST. This is to deter traders from exploiting the situation.
If the public keep complaining about it among themselves, but fail to bring it up to the attention of MDTCC, there will be no outcome from it, he added.
When the public reports of such incidents to MDTCC, MDTCC will first investigate and if the complaint is genuine, they will take the necessary action.
The public can forward their complaints to MDTCC through three ways:-
- Contact MDTCC hotline at 1800-886-800,
- Forward their complaints via MDTCC’s mobile application MyKira, or
- Use Ez-ADU app, which allows consumers to lodge a complaint through Whatsapp.
