RHB Cards Is Now Available On Apple Pay

RHB has now announced that RHB debit and credit cards are now supported by Apple Pay; two years after the payment solution was announced for Malaysia.

This also means that RHB is now the sixth bank in Malaysia to be supported by Apple Pay, following Ambank, HSBC, Maybank, Standard Chartered, and American Express.

In a news report from The Edge, RHB Banking Group group managing director/group chief executive officer Mohd Rashid Mohamad stated that Apple Pay provides a seamless and secure digital banking experience, which aligns with RHB’s goal of innovation and meeting the evolving needs of their customers.

Mohd Rashid also stated that security is one of Apple Pay’s biggest draw, stating that every Apple Pay purchase is secure because it is authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode, as well as a one-time unique dynamic security code

Features of Apple Pay

Apple Pay allows its users to make payments at any accepting store using their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac.

As all transactions require Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, and a double click on your Apple Watch, it means that you and only you can make payment using your Apple Pay.

Apple Pay also never stores your actual card number on your device or Apple servers, which provides you with another layer of security against fraud.

Cashback campaign to celebrate Apple Pay support

To celebrate Apple Pay’s support of RHB cards, RHB is also launching a limited time cashback campaign that allows customers to earn up to RM30 cashback when they use their RHB card with Apple Pay three times, with a minimum purchase of RM50 on each transaction.

The campaign runs until July 31 and applies to in-store and online purchases.
