RM100 Book Vouchers For Year 4 Primary, Uni. Students Starting 31 May
Good news for students! Starting 31 May, 2024, these book vouchers can be used at the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (PBAKL 2024).
The book fair is taking place at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur until 2 June, 2024.
Prime Minister Datuk SEri Anwar Ibrahim announced the voucher giveaway when officiating the event yesterday. Students starting from Year 4 primary upto to secondary, college and tertiary students including those in teaching institutes are eligible to claim the vouchers.
Book vouchers to have purchase guidelines
In his speech, he added that a guideline would be issued on the types of books that can be purchased using the vouchers.
“Perhaps half of the amount will be for works by national laureates like A Samad Said, Shahnon Ahmad and Anwar Ridhwan,” he said in his speech.
Anwar also suggested that students use the vouchers for purchase of books on digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir who were also present at the event later clarified on the voucher details. The book vouchers can still be used after the PBAKL 2024 and will be distributed by higher education institutions.
