Shopee Embraces Buyers Remorse; Introduces Change Of Mind Return Policy
Shopee will be introducing a new returns policy that allows people with buyer’s remorse to change their minds.
The new option will literally be called “change of mind” and listed under the Return/Refund section of the platform for people that have already received their purchases. Allowing buyers to simply decide that they made a bad decision and return the product for a refund. No further questions asked.
Shipping for the returns will be covered by the seller, who can then claim the costs from Shopee themselves.
According to the Shopee FAQ, this new returns policy is being implemented because “buyers are more likely to purchase an item online when provided the option to return it”.
With that in mind, there is an extensive list of exceptions for this policy. Certain categories of clothes, watches, perishable goods, e-books, and fashion accessories are among the exclusions.
This new policy goes into effect on 19 March 2024. Items eligible for you to change your mind will be flagged with the “free returns” tag.
