Over 41,000 Cars From Six Brands Recalled

The Road Transport Department has just ordered the recall of more than 41,000 vehicles from six brands due to potential safety risks.

According to a statement released by the RTD, the recall was necessary to prevent accidents caused by structural defects, equipment malfunctions or system failures in the vehicles.

Of the 41,000 vehicles recalled, around 36,679 were Honda Civics and CR-Vs, 4,245 were Kia Sorento Xms, 291 were Man TGS trucks, and 474 vehicles were from Ford, Audi, and Mercedes.

The RTD also mentioned that vehicle owners would be contacted by their respective manufacturers to schedule inspections.

car brands recall for faulty partsAccording to the statement, the faulty components that are identified will be replaced free of charge by the vehicle’s manufacturer.

Some of the issues with these vehicles that were reported includes unusual noises, uneven steering rotation, cracks in the front axle brake hose, and abnormalities in several high-voltage battery modules.

In order to keep drivers safe, the RTD urges the affected vehicles’ owners to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

The department said it would monitor the recall process to ensure all affected vehicles undergo proper inspections and are certified safe.
