Invest In Gold From RM10 Using Your TNG eWallet
TNG Digital, Malaysia’s largest integrated fintech player has unveiled their newest product called e-Mas. This revolutionary gold investment platform is accessible in the Touch n’ Go eWallet app.
e-Mas is the brainchild of a collaboration between TNG Digital and their gold liquidity provider, CIMB Bank Berhad.
The launch was officiated by the Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, which underlines the government’s support for these digital investment product.
In his opening remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital, Alan Ni, stated that they are proud that their efforts to spearhead financial empowerment and accessibility for Malaysians are supported by the Minister of Digital.
500,000 users target for e-Mas by year end
“We are extremely honoured that our efforts to democratise the access to digital financial offerings such as digital gold investment are supported by the Minister of Digital,” said Alan Ni.
Alan Ni also stated that thanks to CIMB Bank Berhad as the liquidity provider, users can invest in gold through the TNG eWallet, with a low entry amount of RM10.
He highlighted that TNG Digital is aiming to get over 500,000 Malaysians to sign up for this product by year end. This is based on the successful pre-launch test earlier. Over 100,000 users had signed up and more than 40,000 have started investing in e-Mas.
CIMB as liquidity provider
Meanwhile, Chu Kok Wei, the Group Wholesale Banking of CIMB Group stated that CIMB is dedicated to pioneering a digital-centric approach to treasury products.
“The collaboration with TNG Digital marks a transformative leap forward. This complements our longstanding presence in the wholesale financial market. It also reflects our commitment to delivering bespoke financial solutions across diverse client segments,” he said.
Government prioritises financial inclusivity
Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh in his opening remarks highlighted the government’s support for TNG Digital’s new offering. This initiative underlines the government’s commitment to ensuring financial inclusivity and innovation for everyone.
Gobind also reiterated that serving the underserved communities is one of the main goals and priorities of the current government.
e-Mas complements TNG eWallet’s existing investment offerings, providing the public with a very accessible entry point into gold investment.
With e-Mas, TNG eWallet’s users can now try their hand in gold investment from as low as RM10 with no hidden cost.
